Saying ‘No’ to YOLO
작성자  : 관리자
uring the past few years, many members of the MZ Generation subscribed to the YOLO lifestyle. Insisting that “you only live once,” they spent their money on whatever they wanted, with little thought of saving for a rainy day.

Recently, however, many of these young people have had a change of heart. Rather than YOLO, they are pursuing habits that are more practical and productive.

Some have even gone to the opposite extreme by following the so-called “No Consumption” lifestyle. In other words, they are spending as little money as possible aside from transportation.

For example, they try to tighten their food budget as much as they can. Some refrain from eating out or having food delivered. Instead, they cook their meals and pack their lunch.

Others try to stay frugal by using reward apps. These apps give points and rewards to users for doing certain simple actions, such as walking. The rewards can then be exchanged for snacks or drinks.

Another trend that has become popular is called “Healthy Pleasure.” Those who subscribe to this trend continue to spend some of their money, but they avoid buying frivolous items such as expensive clothes. Rather, they use their money to keep their body healthy and in shape.

For instance, they may sign up for a fitness club or a yoga class and purchase nutritious meals. Others use smartphone apps to organize workouts and go jogging with other like-minded people. This way, they spend their time and money improving themselves while also expanding their social circle.
